The shooting of WHITE TALON CITY is behind me and I’ve been home from it almost a week. It was an AMAZING experience. We shot it at Pine Moore Studios in Blanco, Texas. You might recognize Blanco, Texas from both the films TRUE GRIT and ROOSTER COGBURN. I can’t say enough good things about the studio, the local cast and crew and the experience. In WHITE TALON CITY, I play Charlotte (One Shot Charley) Dott, a female gunslinger who rescues abused women in the Old West. This short film is a prequel and a “proof of concept” film for what will hopefully become a series. As I write this, today is International Women’s Day and I am so proud to say that there were female producers, a female writer/director and female audio crew on the film. I am still humbled by being cast in this amazing role. Girl power!

Before shooting WHITE TALON CITY, I shot a commercial for a business which must stay unnamed. However, I was made to look like a woman in the 80’s and doing that was SO MUCH FUN. The hair, make up and wardrobe crew did a fabulous job. I hardly recognize myself here:
And this week, a film I shot last year is being released, THE ALPHA TEST. It a horror film about what can go wrong with artificial intelligent (are you listening Alexa?) Here is the trailer for it:

And, the same director for THE ALPHA TEST contacted me earlier this week and he has a small role for me in an upcoming film. Boom!
I’m still taking improvisation classes and feel the more I learn, the more I realize I NEED to learn. But I’m having fun and have bonded with other classmates.
So, for a while, the famine of acting has ended and I’m feasting. Most of all I’m grateful for the opportunities.
